the thing about denims

today was the Young Leaders' Conference at the Expo, and there were masses of students. Certainly one would assume that all these students would be leaders in their schools. But as I walked past throngs of them, some of these kids' behaviour certainly leave much to be desired.

But this isn't really the point.

Today is one of those rare occasions when I actually wore a pair of denims out.

You see, I'm a bermudas - t shirt type of guy. I dress casual-cool and anything that covers down to my ankles gives me a greenhouse effect.

Which was pretty much how I felt once I linked up with my fellow teachers and students at the entrance of the expo.

I must say, it was great to meet my students.

Thank goodness the aircon was strong, and the jeans kept me warm, which was what I needed.

As for the conference itself, I found myself listening intently. I always felt there were gems in these speakers' sharing. I never like to think that I've got nothing to learn from these people. Even if I've heard it before, listening to good common sense and tips in living successfully always appeals to me.

Anyway, tomorrow's the big walk and I'm really looking forward to it. It should be a brilliant day tomorrow.
